The Care Induction Certificate(Three Days)
The Care Certificate is a set of standards that apply to social care and health workers in their daily working life. It is the new minimum standards that are expected to be covered as part of your induction training of new care workers.
The induction course takes place over three and a half days. A half day (which may be at any point during the course) is for Moving & Handling Training, and three days dedicated to the Care Certificate
This course is delivered over a 4 day period at our facilities in Lewisham

• Handling Information
• Infection Prevention and Control.
Moving & Handling (half day)
This covers knowledge of the following subjects:
• Legal Background
• The Spine
• Back Pain Risk Factors
• Risk Assessments
• Team Work
• Safe Moving Principles
• Policies and Procedures
• Benefits of Mobility to Residents
Practice with the following techniques and equipment: hoists and slings, stand aids, turn aids, lifting and moving boxes, assisted stands (helping people out of chairs), and slide sheets.
