Working as a CCTV Operator & Security Guard (Comb)

Working as a CCTV Operator & Security Guard (Comb)

What You Will Learn

The three units are as follows:

Unit 1:Working as a Security Officer within the Private Security Industry

Unit 2: Working within the Private Security Industry
Unit 3: Conflict Management within the Private Security Industry

Unit2 and Unit 3 are common across a range of security qualifications, including Level 2 BTEC Awards in: ‘Vehicle Immobilisation’ and ‘Door Supervision’.

This means that learners are able to switch more easily between different occupations. For example, a learner who has successfully completed the Level 2 BTEC Award in Security Guarding and who wants to become a Vehicle Immobiliser will already have passed two of the three units necessary to complete the Level 2 BTEC Award in Vehicle Immobilisation; they would therefore only need to take one remaining unit in order to complete the full BTEC Level 2 Award in Vehicle Immobilisation. Whilst the three units outlined above make up the full Level 2 BTEC Award in Security Guarding, each individual unit may also be taken as a stand-alone award which may be used later towards one of the full BTEC Level 2 Awards in the Security Sector.
