WHAT TYPES OF ONLINE LEARNING ARE AVAILABLE
Qualifications – We can deliver and assess a range of Regulated Qualifications, 100% online without the need for the learner to attend a classroom or site based assessment. This means that Regulated Qualifications can now be completed anywhere, anytime in any place when it is convenient for employers and learners alike, all you need is an internet connection and a webcam.
E-Learning – Involves using a computer or laptop to deliver a course, whether it’s in a Training Centre, part of your in-house employee training, or to further your own career at home. All e-Learning courses include a multiple-choice test to confirm understanding of the content.
Packages – Are a collection of e-Learning products that can be purchased together as a “Package” that offers a saving compared to purchasing the products individually.
E-Books – are electronic Workbooks that come in a PDF format and provide a more texted based solution for those individuals who prefer learning in this way. Each course can be read on a computer, a laptop, or any mobile device and all involve a multiple-choice test to confirm understanding of the content.
Video learning – Video is a useful alternative to e-learning and e-books for learners who prefer to study and retain information best when information is presented to them in a visual format. Each video course involves a multiple-choice test to confirm understanding of the content.
Distance Learning – Distance Learning courses are facilitated by physical Workbooks and liaison with the course tutor via the post. All work is completed by the learner and posted back to their tutor who will, in turn, provide any necessary feedback by return. All Distance Learning courses are completed by a Multiple-choice test to confirm understanding of the content. These courses are currently only available to existing customers via your e-Learning Portal.

Q. How do I access the online (Blended) Learning once I have purchased it?
A. The first time you make a purchase you will be emailed a link to access your Blended Learning Portal, please bookmark this in your browser, or save the email with the link. When you login to your Blended Learning Portal using the username and password you created when registering, your purchases will be available to view, you can follow progress, see when tests have been completed and access your certificates. After your first purchase, you must make further purchases directly through your Blended Learning Portal.
Q. Do I need an Access Code to login to the Blended Learning Portal?
A. No, normally, all managers and learners can login using their email address and a password. The only time you would need an access code would be if your manager has created your account for you and didn’t know your email address. In this instance, the system will generate an access code for the manager to give to you for you to use. The access code has nothing to do with special offers or discounts.
Q. I’m purchasing online Learning on behalf for my Organisation, how do I manage my learners and monitor their progress?
A. If you make an initial purchase for more than one item of online learning, an account will be created for you as a manager and you will be emailed a link to access your Blended Learning Portal. Please bookmark this link in your browser, or save the email with the link.
When you login to your Blended Learning Portal, your purchases will be available to view, you can create users and the system will automatically email them with their own personal login details for their own Blended Learning Portal; allocate E-Learning; e-Books; Video Learning; and Qualifications to different users; you can follow their progress; see when tests have been completed and access their certificates; you can also set up accounts for other managers within your organisation so that they can manage online learning for their staff. After your first purchase, you must make further purchases directly through your Blended Learning Portal. Q. Do you give discounts for multiple purchases?
A. Yes, we do, if you want to buy 10 or more online learning products, please contact us to discuss if any discounts are available. For Corporate Customers and Local Authorities wishing to purchase larger numbers, we give generous discounts on most online learning if you pay for credits in advance via Credit Card or on payment of our Invoice. Credits can be conveniently managed via your Blended Learning Portal account.
Q. If I already have a personal login to Securematics Training Blended Learning Portal, but I now want to purchase & manage online (Blended) Learning on behalf of my Organisation, how do I change my account to a Managers Account?
A. Please email email@example.com with your request. We can then convert your account from a personal one to a Managers Account.
Q. How many times can learners access the online learning products I have purchased?
A. As many times as they like, until they pass the test. Then you/they can access the record of what they have completed and the certificate as often as you want.
Q. If I don’t pass the test at the end, do I need to purchase the product again?
A. No, not for e-Learning; e-Books; Packages; Distance Learning; and Video Learning, you can take the test(s) as many times as you like until you pass. Qualifications may have additional charges for re-takes of the Assessments, please contact us for further details.
Q. How do I access my Certificate?
A. For e-Learning; e-Books; Packages; and Video Learning, you can access your certificates via your Blended Learning Portal and download and print them as often as you want. Distance Learning Certificates are sent directly to learners via the post and for Qualifications, certificates are issued to learners by the relevant awarding body.
Q. How does it work if I purchase a Qualification?
A. All of the learning material you need is provided in your portal in the same way the e-Learning courses are. At the start of the programme, you are required to upload your ID to confirm your identity. Once you have been through the course learning content, you will have access to the Qualification Assessment. You need access to a computer with a camera when taking the assessment.
The system monitors you while you are taking the Multiple-Choice Questions. Once the test is completed, if you pass, the invigilation/verification team are notified. If they are satisfied everything is in order, they hand over to the Awarding Body for them to confirm and issue your Certification.
